【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardestablishesmethodsforperformancetesting,calibrationandusageofNal(TI)detectorsystemsforthemeasurementofgamma-rayenergiesandemissionratesofradionuclidesandtheassayforradioactivity.Thisstandardprovidesastandardizedbasisforthecalibrationandusageofsodiumiodidedetectorsystemsforthemeasurementofgamma-rayemissionratesofradionuclides.Typicalapplicationsincluderadionuclideidentificationandassayinvariousindustrial,environmental,andmedicalapplications.Athalliumactivatedsodiumiodidedetectorsystemconsistsofthreemajorcomponents:ascintillatingmediumthatproducesphotonsoflightwhenionizingradiationinteractswithit;oneormorephotomultipliersorphotodiodes,opticallycoupledtothescintillator,whichconvertsthelightphotonstoanamplifiedelectricalpulseorpulses;andassociatedelectronicinstrumentationwhichpowersthephotomultiplierandprocessestheoutputsignal.Bothenergycalibrationandefficiencycalibrationarecovered.Thefollowingthreetechniquesareconsidered:a)totalspectrumcounting(see4.1)whichemploysasystemthatcountsallpulsesabovealow-energythreshold(see6.1,6.2and6.3);b)single-channelanalyzercounting(see4.2)whichemploysasystemwithacountingwindowwhichestablishesupperandlowerenergyboundaries(see6.1,6.2,and6.3);c)multichannelanalyzercounting(see4.3)whichemploysasysteminwhichmultiplecountingwindowsareutilized.Thistechniqueallowsmeasurementsforwhichthecontinuumunderthefull-energypeakmaybesubtractedwithoutintroducingunacceptableerror.Incaseofoverlappingpeaksinthespectrum,itisrealizedthatamultichannelanalyzer(MCA)withaccesstoaspectrum-strippingprogramisnecessary.Thiscaseisnotcoveredbythisstandard.
